ARBOIS Domaine de Brégand 2015
The wine’s purple colour is rivalled only by its aromas. It has a deep colour and intense aromas. The nose gives off small black berries (blackcurrant and blackberry). It has an attractive length on the palate, with a slight astringency that bodes well for the future.
After the grapes have been harvested, they are vatted for about 2 weeks, with cold prefermentation maceration and an end of vatting phase at 30°C. This obtains maximum extraction and helps completely break down organic matter. Maturation is carried out in oak barrels (about 20% of which are new) for 9 months.
